- Groups
Groups: in practical terms, the Camp is well suited for groups of 10-40 people, including multiple meeting spaces, full-capacity kitchen, and recreational options. But the key aspect for group leaders is that the shared experience of hiking together automatically forms a strong group dynamic; this serves as a solid, positive basis for every other aspect of the group’s time together, and can be intentionally processed for further group enhancement. (Many groups also use preparing meals as a collaborative exercise.) And formal and informal recreation possibilities indoors and out for kids, youth and adults are abundant.
- Families
Families: the Retreat Lodge and Honeymoon Cottage are perfect for 2-10 persons, including the Retreat Lodge’s kitchenette and separate bathroom; double beds plus bunk beds are in both the Lodge and Cottage; formal and informal recreation possibilities indoors and out for kids, youth and adults are abundant.
- Solo Retreats
Solo Retreats: the Camp’s location four miles off the grid and accessible only by hiking creates a sense of isolation that feeds a variety of solo pursuits: reading, writing, composition, walking and hiking for reflection, sitting by the stream, standing on the heliport lookout under a full moon or at sunrise—all present rich opportunities. (Writers accustomed to using their laptop will find adequate electricity for work and re-charging.)
