Planning for your time at Camp will include three costs: the guest fee at Camp, food, and any packing you arrange for (plus parking.)

Packing: guests often choose to contract with Adams Pack Station at Chantry Flats to have food and sometimes gear packed into Camp by the pack train of donkeys, mules and horses. For details and to arrange service, click here. Here is a preview of what you’ll need to know:
- Scheduling: the regular schedule for the pack train is to go into Camp each Friday morning; food and gear to be packed must be at the Pack Station by 9am that day. Any gear to be packed out will usually come out the following Friday.
- Packing: click here for a list of recommended personal gear to bring; gear should be put in a large trash bag, then loaded into soft luggage—duffle bags are best. It can be a rough, wet, dirty ride; leave the good stuff at home!
- Food: click here for recommended menus that are both easy to cook and serve at Camp and will make the trip safely on the pack train.
- Costs: the basic cost is 50 cents per pound; for menu planning, add about 20% to the grocery bill for the cost of packing in the food.
People:
The final charge for your stay at Camp is based on counting how many people spent how many overnights at Camp. Also,
- The rates for the cabins are less than for the Retreat Lodge.
- The rate for second and third nights are less than for the first night.
